Very interesting, and awesome! I can’t wait to give this a whirl on a custom theme :]
@Eline – It seems, after watching the tutorial, that you would need to export the list of links as text, then go back later and insert the appropriate PHP code to include a list of pages, etc.
First of all, thank you, guys, for being interested in our product. Now let me clarify things to you.
Alb3rt1, unfortunately for now you can only use Divine under Windows. But the good news is that we are planning Mac version of Divine in future. As soon as we release it, we’ll let you know.
Eline, you can make an auto menu in Wordpress widgets, this way you’ll get auto pages on the left in the sidebar.
In case you want to include such menu to header or footer, unfortunately it’s impossible for now, as Divine Free version has certain limitations (you can find them here: Free version limitations ). Still, you can assign links to useritems with no problems. Please follow this link to see how it’s done: Quick start guide
Jeremiah, thank you being part of this big process that we’re improving right now:)

Hello Olga, quite interesting your tool. I tried it, found it good but not yet fully functional. First of all, please answer me two questions: When do you plan to publish the software and how is the pricing for both planned versions?
thank you
Christian,
Paid versions are yet on their alpha stage of development – the release will be ready soon. The exact price hasn’t been fixed yet, but it’s about to be between $60-200 for Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal) intended for bloggers working with CMS Wordpress.
Morgan,
This functionality will be available in paid versions of Divine. Please see other limitations of Divine free version here: Free version limitations
Anggita,
There are two ways of launching Divine: by going to Divine->Publish or File->Automate->Divine in Photoshop CS3; by pressing File->Automate->Divine in Photoshop CS4.
Hope this helps:)
The idea behind Divine is great but I think there are too many limitations in Free Edition.
I understand that you’re trying to protect your product but I think you’ve only got a small window to get people on board.
i like the program but the steps are moving too fast. ones the sample is for tutorial purposes, i think it would be better if it slows a bit. also it would be good to add audio to the visuals. thanks

Frank,
Until the official release we decided to make a techdemo and a free version with the limited number of functions but with their full execution. We didn’t want to restrict users on purpose – we gave you guys a try to assess our work. The first paid version will be ready soon- the whole functionality will be available.
Kamasah,
As for the speed in tutorials – sorry, but for the present moment it’s not included in our plans for the nearest future. However, we’ve taken it in consideration.
Audio will soon be added, though:)
Once you get the idea how it works it’s very speedy.
As a suggestion : for starters one example PSD would be great.
Or better… a menu item that puts the layout as rulers in one layer.
Right now I had to “print screen” the divine generator to set rulers and adjust my layout.
good work.
btw tutorials aren’t so bad, but I had to pause several times and watch them at youtube to get wider screen and see what was goin on there.
Alo,
PSD file will be updated as soon as we release Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal). And you won’t need to set rulers – it’ll be adjusted in Layout editor.
Hi,whenever I select an area, and then I right click on an area in the “Post” area, all those assigning elements do not appear. The dropdown simply says “cannot assign element” even though they are text layers, and are located inside the “post block”. This also doesn’t work for Sidebar, however in the Header I can still assign user elements. What seems to be the problem?

Hi, Fedor. I’ll advise you to check your PSD file.
1. All the parameters are to be correct. So, please find if the texts are inside the group’s frame. In other words, the editing text area in Photoshop is to be inside the fixed group.
2. If there is an effect applied on the layer, the real size of PSD might exceed the ones you see.
To check the both variants, please use the way pointed out in the previous response (I mean selecting the area by left mouse button). If the problem remains, please send us your layout using our contact form.
How soon will you guys be releasing a full version. I am a 3d animation artist and I don’t create websites very often, but every once in awhile somone will ask if I can create one for them. I can create the art for the site no problem, but I tend to get boged down when it comes to writting the code. This software seems very quick and easy to generate website files. Just wondering.
Thanks for your hard work.
It would be nice if the video tutorials had sound, at least a background music :)

I am not sure how this app will save time.
By the time you have selected all the areas in the PSD and made sure that they are designated properly and you correct your mistakes and spend a lot of time trying to accurately mark the areas precisely, you could have just cut them up and saved them as PNG’s or whatever and got on with coding your site.
I think this is kind of like using Dreamweaver VS handcoding. I’d hand code any day.
Hey guys,
i use Divine for Photoshop and i created a esay PSD File for my wordpress blog. When i start Divine and difine each element and i publish it, so Divine don’t display each background, text and i don’t know, how i define my menue.
Please help me.
Cheers,
Mark Lubkoll
Hi Mark, the version you are testing now is Divine Free one. As it’s a tech demo, it has several limitations in its functionality. And there is no possibility to assign more than one element (for example, graphics + text). However, the functional of Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal) was extended greatly what would allow to work out each element in detail and many other useful things. We’ll release a public beta version in the nearest future.
hmmm, Divine didn’t work for me, then it did and now it doesn’t. for both times it didn’t work I opened my psd theme in divine only to find a blank canvas :S and another problem is that most of the elements aren’t working, like making it a “read more text function” to my “readmore” text doesn’t work only giving me the option to add user items
Hi Nina,
Does Devine also let us create custom a Theme Options page? For example, if I created a theme and I wanted to be able to change the header, or change the bg color or text (using farbtastic or similar for example) is this possible?
I can see how great it would be to take a PSD file and quickly(?) convert it to wordpress but a Theme Options page is pretty important to change some basic elements without having to open page.php, single.php, header.php, etc.
So, Theme Options control/design?
Thanks
Hey there,
i was wandering, how do we set where everything is on our own templates? (ive built a template and i need to set it so it cuts up all the right images and puts them in the right places).
Thanks,
CJ
