Q: What is Divine Elemente plugin?

Q: What versions of this photoshop plugin already exist / are planned?
A: For the moment we have just one edition of this plugin for photoshop – Divine Elemente v0.9. At this moment we are working on Divine Elemente v1.0 release. For current users of Divine Elemente update to version 1.0 will be absolutely free.
Q: Do you have a beta testing program?
A: Yes, of course. Since we are working on new extensions and plugin’s features development all the time, we always need users who can check all new features and find all bugs in their work. Q: Are other languages supported for the interface?
A: Yes, sure. We developed a special service for translation for this purpose. And thanks to our customers (by the way, we are very much obliged to them), we made a translation into several languages of the world.
Q: What CMSs does the Divine Elemente support?
A: Divine Elemente (formerly Divine Personal) edition supports WordPress CMS only. We also work on the issue of support of other popular CMSs (Joomla, Drupal, etc.)
Q: Can this plugin be used on Mac?
A: Unfortunately, the software works with Windows only. But If you have a possibility to work with Windows OS version, you can purchase Divine Elemente right away. After the MAC OS version release (in about 1-2 years), we can provide an additional license to run under MAC OS (for a long wait).

Installation and activation

Q: What are the basic system requirements?
A:
  • OS requirements: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
  • Photoshop requirements: CS, CS2, CS3, CS4 (32 bit), CS5 (32 bit)
Q: How do I install this plugin?
A: To install the Divine Elemente plugin, you should follow these steps:

  • The plugin installation needs previously installed Adobe Photoshop editor.
  • Photoshop must be closed during the plugin’s installation.
Q: Can I install the plugin to multiple versions of Adobe Photoshop?
A: Yes, it is possible. While installing the plugin, pick all Photoshop versions that you want to install the plugin to. Also you can choose regional versions of Adobe Photoshop (which are used in CS – CS3 versions)
Q: How do I install the plugin for the portable version of Adobe Photoshop?
A: In case you have a portable Adobe Photoshop, you must specify a “Custom folder” path to the directory, where all plugins of this edition are located in.
Note: You can use Divine Elemente plugin on the computer of its activation only.
Q: Does this plugin support 64-Bit version of Adobe Photoshop?
A: Unfortunately, we don’t support 64-Bit products for now. Divine Elemente plugin works with 32-Bit Adobe Photoshop only.
Q: How to activate a trial / full version?
A: At the first launch, Divine Elemente will offer you to enter a key for your software copy’s activation. To activate the software, copy the key received and paste it in the activation code field and press “Activate.” Besides, you can try the software in trial mode during 30 days term. To get this chance, click on “Continue Trial” in the activation window.

Q: I installed a new version of Photoshop, and Divine doesn’t see it at installation. What’s the problem?
A: Divine Elemente plugin defines Adobe Photoshop versions from the register data. These data are put by Photoshop at the first launch. In other words, if you installed Adobe Photoshop and haven’t launched it at all, these data will be absent in the register. So, Divine Elemente plugin will not be able to define it. Solution: re-install the plugin after you launch Adobe Photoshop for the first time, or during Divine Elemente plugin installation, indicate plugin’s files folder on your computer for this Adobe Photoshop version manually (option “Custom folder”).

Launch and work with Divine Elemente plugin

Q: How do I run the plugin in Adobe Photoshop?
A: Divine Elemente plugin can be launched from the ‘Elemente’ menu or from the ‘File > Automate > Elemente’ menu.
Q: How do I create my own template with Divine Elemente plugin?
A: With the help of the Layout Editor, you can easily prepare a template with all required page elements. More details on this process can be found in the “Create websites with Photoshop” tutorial.
Q: Can I use different effects on the text layers?
A: Usage of effects on text layers is not advisable. If you want to leave them as a text, the majority of effects (rotations, transformation, etc.) will be disabled, in other cases you’ll be able to make these layers as graphic elements. Q: How I can build a WordPress theme with Divine Elemente?

Q: How to create a template for WordPress?
A: If you want to create a layout in PSD – we suggest to look through “How to Create Basic PSD template” tutorial. To create a ready-made WordPress theme you should use “Publish Editor“.
Q: How to convert PSD to HTML?
A: We work on this functionality. Now to create HTML / CSS page based on the current elements you can use HTML preview option. More detailed in the “Publish Editor” tutorial.
Q: Where can I find documentation on work with the software?
A: The required information can be found in the local file (Documentation.pdf) that is in the package with the plugin, and in the Documentation section at the website.
Q: How do I know about the release of a new version of the software?

Work with the Layout Editor

Q: What is the Layout Editor used for?
A: Layout Editor is a part of Divine Elemente that helps to specify a layout grid‘s type and its parameters for an open PSD template (grid blocks’ arrangement, their sizes and theme’s elements list) and also to create a new PSD template on the basis of the data indicated. More about the Layout Editor
Q: How do I set a required layout grid?
A: Please choose a required type of a layout grid in the Properties panel and adjust its main parameters. More details can be found in the “Layout Editor” guide.
Q: How do I add all elements of one type at once?
A: Please select the ‘Add elements >’ menu in the Elements panel and indicate a type of elements that is required to add to the template. And at the same time, all possible elements will be added to all grid blocks.

Work with the Publish Editor

Q: How do I assign theme elements?
A: Please highlight all necessary layers on the template and indicate behavior of the element required in the dropdown menu. More details on this process can be found in the “Elements” guide.
Q: How do I configure an FTP account?
A: You can configure an FTP account at the ‘Settings > Accounts’ menu. More details on parameters can be found in the “Interface of Divine Elemente” guide.
Q: How do I set publishing via Proxy server?
A: You can configure Proxy settings at the ‘Settings > Accounts’ menu. More details on parameters can be found in the “Interface of Divine Elemente” guide.
Q: How do I preview themes?
A: In case you’d like to preview your theme at the website, you can prepare the page in HTML / CSS. To do that, select the ‘HTML preview’ item in the Command panel and, and then click on the ‘Publish’ button. More details on this process can be found in the “Publish Editor” guide.
Q: How do I create wordpress themes on a local disk?
A: First of all, you are to indicate a path in the settings ( the ‘Settings > Publish’ menu ) for theme files’ saving at publishing (by default they will be saved in a home user’s folder (../user/documents)). Then, select the ‘Save to folder’ item in the Command panel, and then click on the ‘Publish’ button. More details on this process can be found in the “Publish Editor” guide.
Q: How do I create WordPress theme and publish it to the FTP server?
A: Before you publish your theme to the server, you must create an export account (the ‘Settings > Accounts’ menu). Then, select ‘Upload to <Account>” and click on the ‘Publish’ button. More details on this process can be found in the “Publish Editor” guide.

Theme design

Q: How do I set a page background color?
A: By default a color is selected on the basis of your theme. To change the color, please select the ‘Theme’ element, choose a BG type parameter in the Properties panel, and set a required background color in the window you see.
Q: How do I set Stretch / Fade parameters?
A: Please select the ‘Theme’ element, choose a BG type parameter in the Properties panel, and set one of the following: Simple stretch, Seamless stretch, One big background, No stretch. Then, adjust detailed values for each grid block (Fade value is indicated in percentage ratio, Stretch area is in px). Uninstallation

Q: How do I remove the plugin from the certain Photoshop version?
A:
  • Launch plugin Uninstall. To do that, follow these steps:

    — Choose Uninstall from the Divine Elemente group. or — Open the Control Panel (at the Start menu, choose Settings, Control Panel). — Double-click on the ‘Add / Remove programs’ item. — Search in the list for the ‘Divine’ item and double-click on it.
  • Select only those Adobe Photoshop versions that you want to remove Divine Elemente plugin from. Deselect all other versions.
  • Press “OK”.

Troubleshooting

Q: How do I report about a problem in the software?
A: If you want to let us know about an error, you need to do the following:
  • Choose the ‘Report a Bug’ item from the Divine Elemente group.
  • Write about the bug you ran into briefly.
  • Select an error type (Crash, Wrong behavior, Other)
  • Select necessary sending options (Send Screenshot, send export journal)
  • Press ‘Send’.
